FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp. vi, [2], 80, [2]. Map frontispiece and 23 monochrome photographic plates. Full vellum, with gilt titles to label to spine, triple gilt fillet border to boards and gilt decoration to spine, with gilt embossed vignette to upper board; all edges gilt. Gilt dentelles and marbled endpapers. A near fine copy. A touch of light marking to vellum, modest foxing to endpapers. Ownership inscription dated 1899 to first blank.
A superb copy from the library of Major Algernon George Parsons (1886-1918), Director of C A Parsons & Co., who was killed in France in 1918.
