Publishers’ maroon cloth with gilt titles to spine and decoration in black; publishers’ imprint to upper boards in blind. Cover cloth lightly surface scuffed with spines a touch sunned, corners and spine tips rubbed. Small tears and associated crease at tail of spine to Vol I, Vol III corners bruised, and faint damp-stain to lower board Vol VII. Tidy ownership inscription to Vol I; rear inner hinge cracked but firmly holding to Vol VII. A very good set.
A modest but attractive mid-19th century set of the complete works of Shakepeare, including sonnets and glossary. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
